Social work student begins field instruction in Pittsburg

Future social worker Rono Bowyer, a Kansas State College senior, trains under probation officer Terry Lundblad. Since Jan 15 he observes office procedures, attends counseling sessions, and will soon counsel clients while researching alcohol counseling resources. Bowyer notes three quarters of local cases involve drunken driving and will continue eight days on site then class for two days until May 15. He stays with his parents at 420 N Grant when in town.
