Dr Eugene Myers of Iola was elected chairman of the Allen Neosho Counties Mental Health Center administrative board at a center meeting in the city. New officers include Robert Geiger Chanute vice chairman Robert Buchanan St Paul treasurer and W J Young Chanute secretary. Two new board members were introduced Dr John D Atkin and Probate Judge Ted West of Yates Center. Woodson county joins Allen and Neosho counties in financial support. January 20 1964 marked 219 cases opened with about 85 on current load and 14 new December cases eight adults and six children. A new yard light was installed by Neosho County Mental Health Assn. Dr Morton Jacobs is medical consultant Seymour Epstein clinical psychologist is on staff two days weekly. Efforts to recruit an additional social worker and more psychiatrist time continue. Next regular meeting is February 17 at the center.
