Walnut doctor robbed and beaten by gunman
Dr. J. W. Moore was beaten and robbed in his Walnut office Monday afternoon by a man armed with a pistol. The suspect fled in Moore's Ford Ranchero, taking about $220, wallet, keys, and possibly sleeping pills. Authorities describe a 30 year old, six foot, 170 pounds with brown hair. Moore treated his injuries and freed himself. Truck recovered later that day. Investigation by Crawford County Sheriff and state agencies continues.

Orozco Hands Mayor Role to Schultz in Chanute

RC&D reviews Southeast Kansas project slate at Neodesha dinner
