Guns Removed From Vietnam Medical Evacuation Helis
The US Army will strip guns from all medical evacuation helicopters in Vietnam by Friday, repaint most white, and distribute leaflets urging Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces not to shoot. Only the 1st Cavalry Division's 8th Brigade still has armed evac choppers, with four of six to be disarmed.
