About the same number of building permits was issued here in 1964 as in other years since the permit system began. There were 126 permits issued and cost estimates totaled 383 945. In 1963 there were 122 permits and 458 665 in estimates. Continuing comparisons show 125 permits in 1962 and 131 in 1961 with higher totals.

John P. Jakubovich, 41, arrested in Oklahoma for failing to return rented property, was moved from Neosho Memorial Hospital to Tulsa yesterday after a self harm attempt in his city jail cell. He faces a felony charge linked to abandonment of a rental agency car and waived extradition with Deputy Don Bobino escorting.
