He earned degrees from Pittsburg State College and LSU, led chemistry at Louisiana Baptist College, and now heads the Special Training Division at Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies guiding global trainees under Atoms for Peace. He also spoke at the Geneva Conference and led a Mobile Radioisotype lab tour for 5 000 visitors.

A 1953 Ford owned by Larry Umbarger was struck by a rail delivered power shovel at 20 W Main yesterday around 3 pm. The shovel boom swung as the low boy turned, pushing the car into a curb and bending the trunk lid. An inspection will check for further damage.
