An armed robber masked with a .45 caliber automatic robbed a cafe east of Augusta on U. S. 54 at about 4 30 a m. One employee, J D McGee, was present and the thief fled with $176 in cash. Undersheriff Harold Edwards reported the incident occurred early today.
