Pilot's body found in Beech Bonanza wreckage
Oliver Wendell Holmes, 31, of National Poole and Equipment Co. Florence Alabama, was the pilot. The four place Beech craft disappeared after receiving landing clearance during a sleet storm. The wreckage lay in an orchard northwest of Savannah Missouri. A CAP plane spotted the aircraft during searches. Farmers reported an explosion around 7 30 P M.

Wild Rocket Vanishes After Long Flight Across Four States
A 39 percent long unmanned rocket from Holloman Air Development Center went rogue after launch, flying northwesterly over most of New Mexico and likely landing in southwest Colorado or southeast Utah. A 90 foot grain elevator in Armourdale was gutted by fire last night destroying 800000 bushels of grain valued at 2.40 dollars per bushel. Reinforced concrete walls withstood the heat but interior damage ruined the elevator interior. Cause of the blaze was not known and total loss estimate pending.

More Vaccine Is Needed In City Schools
The city inoculation effort for polio is paused awaiting more vaccine. St Patrick's pupils were vaccinated today. About 277 Senior High and Junior College students were inoculated yesterday, with Royster Junior High scheduled to begin Tuesday at 9 am to finish the program. Since kickoff last Monday over 2600 shots have been administered.

Gun Accident Fatal To Kansas City Boy
