Coffeyville Agent Injured When Car Skids North of Morehead
Ediston Parker, Coffeyville insurance agent, was injured when his car swerved to miss a dog 22 miles north of Morehead. The vehicle overturned several times, landing in a field. Parker was taken to Coffeyville hospital with rib fractures and a swollen hand. X-rays were planned for additional injuries.

Seven Die In Kansas Crashes Raise State Toll
The Kansas traffic deaths for the year rose to sixty one after seven more people were killed in crashes since Monday night. Elevator tragedy claims janitor and student at Kansas City College
Kansas City police report the death of 66 year old head janitor August E Olson and 23 year old student Patricia Dowell after an elevator incident at Kansas City Junior College. Investigators say Dowell stumbled on her crutches as she stepped off while Olson reached to help and touched the control lever, trapping him between the rising floor and a beam. Dowell later died from internal injuries.

Anti-Polio Drive Passes 2200 Shots Mark
