E W Johnson plans to publish a daily newspaper in Olathe within three months by merging the Olathe Mirror and Johnson County Democrat. The two weeklies, with 7185 combined circulation, will form Publishing Enterprises Inc and relocate to an air conditioned Mirror building. Dwight McCreight will move from Hutchinson News to edit the Chanute Tribune.

Unattended ACL diesels run 67 miles before halt
In Richmond Virginia two ACL yard diesels began an unattended run at 4 a.m. One engine rolled 67 miles toward Charlottesville until two Chesapeake and Ohio trainmen jumped into action and cut the throttle, stopping the runaway. The second engine ran half a mile before a nonoperating generator stopped it.

Two Men Wanted Here Arrested in Other Cities
