Four Enter Pleas Involving Forgery and Arson Cases

Copper Wire Stolen From Farm Property
Copper wire cut from two farm properties worked by Glen Strack northeast of Chanute. Neosho County Sheriff George Neely said the theft occurred in the past few days. A separate county theft Sunday night totaled about 3,000 feet from the Katy railroad right of way north of the US 59 overpass near Parsons.

Motorcycle Crash Breaks Rider's Hip
Vernon Larkin aged 34 of 621 East 17th suffered a fracture of the left hip in a motorcycle accident at 14th and Malcolm around 6 15 last night. Police said he was west bound when the motorcycle ran off the street into the yard of the John Quinn residence and was thrown from the machine. Speed Checks Pass Quietly on Main Road
Police conducted radar speed checks between Lincoln and Grant on Main Street from 1 15 to 2 50 pm. No violations were found.
