Big Kansas Boost In Gas Production

Kansas oil and gas reports show helium production up 18 fold since 1962 with four plants producing 500 million cubic feet valued at $6.85 million. Natural gas liquids rose 88.6 percent to $27.01 million, natural gas hit a record $85.07 million, and crude oil output slipped while secondary recovery rose 3.6 percent. 102 new oil fields and 15 new gas fields were named, led by Ellis, Barton and Russell counties with Grant as a top gas county.
