Truck Driver Dead After Oil Tanker Train Collision
Everett Blazer aged 54 of St. John Kansas died from extensive burns after his oil tank truck collided with a Santa Fe train at a grade crossing two miles east of Macksville. The truck carried 38 barrels of oil and was knocked loose by the impact becoming a blazing torch for a half mile. The train crew was unharmed. Blazer was married with four sons and four daughters.
