McMurtrey credits asset management and cost controls for improved balance sheet stability and predicts data communications will rebound in 1976 with management changes and market maturity.
A California man, William Milton Thomas Jr., was arrested in Tulsa for allegedly kidnapping Roy Dean Flock Jr. of Wichita and demanding 5000 dollars. Flock was found unharmed near the city county library. Thomas appeared before a U S magistrate and is held on a 50000 dollar bond with a preliminary hearing set for Friday.
Agriculture Secretary Earl L. Butz argues that the drop in grain prices stems from a record 1975 US harvest, not export embargoes. He spoke to Kansas and Missouri farm groups saying embargo effects were limited and long term contracts will aid farmers and consumers alike.
