Mail Plane Pilot Injured In Crash Near Fort Scott
Phillip Rogers 37 of Topeka was severely injured when his two engine mail plane crashed about a mile southwest of Fort Scott airport Tuesday night. He was hospitalized after suffering multiple fractures and lacerations. The wreckage struck a fence and trees in a cornfield with no fire and most mail recovered. Rogers, a weekly relief pilot on the Independence Fort Scott Wichita route, could not recall the crash.
