One-car accident injures Thayer resident near town
Benny Anderson 22 of Thayer suffered minor cuts and bruises when his 1966 Dodge left a county road four miles north and two east of Thayer on loose gravel and overturned. He was thrown clear and not treated. The car was a total loss. A separate small grass fire along Santa Fe tracks south of Thayer was reported Friday night and extinguished by a rural fire department and Santa Fe workers. The governor attended ceremonies in Parsons then traveled to Wichita for the National Baseball Congress opening.
