Prisoners deny mass sledge attack at Georgia jail
In Reidsville Georgia two white convicts George Powell Jr and Odell Evans testified before a legislative committee denying they went down a line of prisoners smashing legs with sledge hammers in a protest at the so called Little Alcatraz. Powell said he broke his own leg while in a wheelchair and described past whippings including a black jack beating in the mess hall by Boss Johnson after refusing to say yes sir boss.
