Brisebois to stand trial for crossing track blocking

Windsor Ontario Walter Brisebois 34 faces trial June 13 on a charge of intimidating a train after he parked his car on Canadian National Railway tracks to retaliate for a crossing delay. He refused police orders, delaying a second train. a $50 defense fund has formed.

Guards Strike At Ohio Prisons

Ohio guards at two state penitentiaries walked out and were replaced by National Guardsmen. At Columbus, 54 of 175 to 200 guards reported, with 100 guardsmen augmenting. Mansfield Reformatory saw about 80 guards, while 130 normally on duty. Union says demand is a $1500 across the board raise. state proposal would boost pay for 87 percent of workers by up to $832 yearly.
