SPACE CENTER Houston AP two American astronauts in Descartes Mountain region on the moon found two white rocks scientists say could illuminate the moon’s formation. GS scientist Dr Howard Wilshire noted they may be remnants of an ancient volcanic flow or formed by meteorite melt or anorthosite from the original lunar crust. The rocks are described as very important regardless of test outcome.
