Lost Pilot Views Wreck in New Mexico
Maj. Earl M. Boone the SR71 pilot was found near the flames of a crash in northern New Mexico after parachuting from about 35 000 feet. Maj. Richard E. Sheffield, the co pilot, was located near the wreckage. Both were taken to Sandia Base Hospital in Albuquerque in good condition.
