Jimmie Lee Young, 19, of 415 S. Lincoln was cited for reckless driving after his 1949 Chevrolet struck Chester C. Limerly’s 1954 Cadillac at 314 S. Lincoln about 7:45 a.m. today. Left rear of the Cadillac and right front of the Chevrolet were damaged. Two minor accidents were reported yesterday, including a 1 p.m. crash at 317 E. Main between Mrs. Jerry Ray and Alphonso Knapp with damage to a 1953 Nash and a 1950 Pontiac. A parking mishap at Main and Highland S involving Joseph R. Gormley Jr.’s 1951 Chevrolet and a 1957 Dodge caused damage to the Chevrolet. no damage to the Dodge’s owner.

Airline Mechanic Dies After Fall From Car
Woodrow Gilbert a 34 year old Trans World Airlines mechanic from Kansas City died after falling from an automobile in Gainesville Missouri. He sustained a head injury when he fell and struck his head on the car bumper as the vehicle started. He died in a Springfield hospital later that night. Coroner Ralph Thieme said he was visiting relatives when the incident occurred.

Humboldt five injured when a 1955 Ford driven by Don Calloway struck a culvert on a fishing trip.
