Fifth Annual May Festival Delights Choral Society
The Fifth Annual May Festival closed with Mendelssohn Elijah performed by the University Choral Society before a record crowd at the armory. Frederick Martin stood in for an indisposed bass. Miss Mary Busey, Miss Alison Fernie, Miss Rio, and Mr Wegener starred in solos and quartets with the Boston festival orchestra conducted by Bei Mollenhower. The matinee offered further highlights including Then Were Two King's Children and G minor Symphony No 1. The event left a lasting inspiration for Urbans and Choral Society members.
