Adams Easy Win in Chaotic Township Democratic Primary
The township Democrats met Thursday in a council chamber seized by Prohibitionists. About 200 attended as G. G. Baumgardner chaired the meeting in Imperial hall. Delegates and township central committee posts were named, resolutions adopted denouncing imperialism and trusts, and William Sullivan won a bid for state representative with 166 votes amid protests from rivals. Adams acknowledged past vote for McKinley but affirmed Democrat allegiance and pledged campaign support.

The Knickerbocker firm controls most retail output of natural ice in Philadelphia Baltimore Washington markets. Lincoln Illinois March 16 Logan county supervisors opposed the hard road movement by a 10 to 7 vote pledging not to pass laws favoring it. Opponents argue the plan serves bicyclists and lacks farmer support.
