Thamas D. left Thursday for Washington D C to represent Champaign and Urbana Typographical Union No 444 at the International Typographical Union annual meeting. Mr Parker is a respected citizen, scholar, business man and gentleman, and his judgment aids the union’s prosperity and standing.

Chicago August six a settlement between Rock Island Railway and conductors and trainmen increases wages and revises rules. Passenger conductors gain 12 percent freight conductors 15 percent and brakemen 12 percent. Double heading on freight trains will be mostly ended except mountainous routes or small trains.
