Pioneer of Forest ExPioneer's Forest Death Rites
Edward Ulrich a well known Lewis County pioneer died at Forest Saturday and was laid to rest in Chehalis Masonic Cemetery. Funeral services were held at B C Fissel chapel with the Trey Hall of the Lutheran church officiating. Ulrich came to the state many years ago and spent most of his time in Lewis County. He had no family of his own and made his home with his brother Herman Ulrich at Forest.

The home of Jota Satula in the LinenIn Croek Valley west of Centralia was partially destroyed by fire yesterday. The lower part was saved but most of the upper story burned. A defective ore is believed to have caused the fire. Insurance to the amount of 200 dollars was carried. The long will be amauntly hard as the Batula farfy has recently been visited by sickness. William J. Bryan says newspapers have lost influence, which is true to a large extent, but the rand ora have suffered as much as the newspapers in demoralization.
