Gun Club Shoot Sets Records In Southwest Washington
A large turnout in good weather dominated a weekend trap shooting event. Centralia’s Marty Gilchrist led the championship singles with 23 hits, while Howe and Fleet posted top scores. Olympia led the team event with 62 of 75 targets. Fifty-two shooters from across the region participated, with Aberdeen and Hoquiam absent. next meet scheduled for Olympia.

Oldest printing press sought for Centralia exhibit
Mr. E. R. Zimmer seeks a relic to enrich the Lewis and Clark exposition display in Centralia. The oldest Washington printing press, built from an oak beam and 10 to 18 inches wide, once in Gentralia, was linked to Toller Trail or his heirs and later moved to Mound Prairie. Butterworth recalls it as an ingenious mechanism once carved in Tumwater before arriving in Centralia.
