An old Centralia resident, born 1843 in Missouri, died after a long illness at the soldiers home in Orting. He served in the Civil War, studied law, taught across Wisconsin and Washington, and settled in Centralia as an early teacher and lawyer. Funeral services were held at the MM church with G A R honors and Rev officiants.
