A petition to pave B street parallel to the depot platform was referred to the committee. City Engineer Bwata noted H street at this point is only six feet wide after property owners set back for public convenience. The telephone franchise discussion saw Foote dispute the council’s $2.60 rate versus the $3 agreed, oppose 2 percent toll receipts to the city after ten years. The ordinance was tabled until the next council.

Prisoner Falls Trying to Escape from County
