Centerville Fire Dept Celebrates 60th Anniversary
The Centerville Volunteer Fire Department marks its 60th year of service with a March 28 talent show in Centerville. Proceeds and a Texas Forest Service grant will fund a 3,000 gallon tanker, 90 percent grant coverage with 10 percent local, delivery expected May or June. The department reported 144 emergency calls last year, plus community events and training efforts including four members at Texas A&M Fire Training School and new gear acquisitions.
