Dog Attack Injures Terrier in Centerville Clinic Visit
A Terrier weighing 18 pounds suffered two stab like wounds from a larger dog, with teeth marks on both sides of the abdomen and ribs broken. The dog was dehydrated and infected, treated with debridement, drains, fluids, antibiotics, and pain relief, then returned home with care instructions and antibiotics. Hunters’ gunshot wounds are noted as a seasonal risk to pets, so owners are urged to keep dogs and cats close to home.
