Remedy for carculis in fruit trees using whale oil soap and sulfur

The text prescribes a remedy for carculis involving one pound whale oil soap four ounces sulfur dissolving in twelve gallons water. Mix quick lime with four gallons water, combine with the sulfur solution and thin with four gallons tobacco water. Apply with a garden syringe to plum and other fruit trees to drench foliage.
