Alvin Trojovsky, 25, of Norway, returned from Sioux City on a warrant charging bootlegging. He waived preliminary hearing in Judge G. W. Burnham’s court and is bound over to the April grand jury under a $300 bond. Henry Trojovsky, his brother, also of Norway, posted bond.
Cedar Rapids voters jammed polling places in a municipal election with tight mayoral and public safety contests. Incumbent Mayor J F Ball faced William Loftus, former sheriff, while Col S S C Viles vied for public safety against Martin Evans, who had defeated Viles previously. Voters also weighed Kenwood Park annexation and city boundary extension over 31 miles.
