Dysart Notes and Community News Brief

Last week a birth occurred at St Luke's in Cedar Rapids for the Cornell cottese gospel team. A church event next Sunday at the Methodist church will have two basketball games in the gymnasium with details to come. Mrs Henry Hansen died at the Dysart home aged 75 after a fall and stroke. funeral services Saturday and Lutheran interment at Dysart cemetery. Various local moves reported, including Keel family moving to West Wilson St and the John Lorenzen family relocating to Toledo. An auction by A E Ackermann to sell dry goods begins Tuesday and runs daily until stock is gone with Dave Wilson as auctioneer. A birthday party for Miss Kennon was held at the Fedder home Wednesday night with refreshments. Arthur Peck of Cedar Rapids visited Dysart. W P Raephel of Waterloo and J Lindeman of Cedar Rapids were in town.

Death of FourYearOld Closes Cedar Rapids Visit

Lu zerne residents report Mrs I Myers returning home after a visit at Cedar Rapids. The death of Dora O Brien, four year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Ed O'Brien, occurred at Cedar Rapids.

Tragic death stuns Kerstone community

The O Brien family mourns after the death of Joana O Brien at Keystone area funeral services led by Rather Dagen of Van Horne. Interment followed at lair Cross near Keystone. The bereaved parents Edward and Mrs O Brien receive community sympathy as Bora’s illness and moving plans are connected to the loss. Wedding of Danker and Wright in Presbyterian church

A double ring wedding was held Saturday at a Presbyterian church in Macleor. Rev Finny performed the ceremony for Miss Emma Danker and Otis PF Wright in the presence of the bride’s brother William and Emma Danker. The bride is a twin daughter of Mr and Mrs Clras Danker from the town outskirts.

Mail carrier joins town after naval service

Two years ago from Mt. Auburn came to take up postal duties here as a mail carrier en route. He served in the U S navy for a year during World War I and at discharge attended Damen's Counmen school in Washington DC. He is popular with the younger set and will be at home to friends after March 1. Congratulations are extended by local friends.
