Rapids Man Killed In Auto Accident
The body of Capt. Berty S. Rugh local architect killed in an automobile accident fifteen miles east of Durbuque Wisconsin arrived in Cedar Rapids today. Rugh and Leonard Stark wealthy local contractor were returning from Milwaukee when Stark’s car skidded into a ditch. Rugh was thrown out and died within minutes. Stark escaped with minor injuries as the car was wrecked.

Servant Attempts Gas Self Harm After Omission
In Cedar Rapids on July 12 Mrs Dora Brown a servant confined to her room after breakfast locked gaps with rags connected a rubber tube to the gas fixture and turned on the flame. Her employer forced entry found her unconscious and a physician treated her. She is expected to recover.

Three Vinton residents hurt in late night crash
Three Vinton residents were injured when a Ford coupe driven by Will Brody overturned and plunged into a ditch on a newly graded road about three miles southeast of the city. Des Moines July 12 The threat by G Butler former assistant director of the budget to sue Senator F ln Maytag director of the budget for 18000 claimed to be due under an alleged three year oral contract was dismissed as too silly and ridiculous by Maytag today Butler said he was to receive 6000 a year for three years and Maytag would cover the 2400 difference from 3600. Maytag said he hired Butler but found him incompetent and asked for his resignation which took effect July 15.

Five Die In Crossing Accident In East Trackensack
Five persons died when an Erie train struck an automobile near Trackensack East.
