Inmates of the County Home express public thanks for benefits received over the past year and especially for Christmas activities that yielded kind remembrances. Signed by W. Darrell Ramsay and Ethelyn Tyler.
The proceedings note an eight month winter period 1921 1922 for courthouse operations. The board authorized payment totaling 2500 dollars and the county auditor was directed to draw a 312.50 dollar monthly warrant on the first of each month. The board adjourned after approving the motion. The record includes scattered ledger figures and a note promising continuation.
A meeting of local leaders and volunteers organized a Public Welfare Association in Vinton. Temporary officers were elected, with W Strippel as chairman and W G Jones as secretary. Trustees will elect officers, three classes lasting through 1922 23 and 24. The group aims to aid the needy, orphans, and worthy residents, seeking public and organizational support.

January Term 1922 in District Court of Benton County Iowa. C M Whitson and Matilda Whitson sue unknown owners and claimants of east part of Lots 3 and 4 in Block 1 Palmer's Addition to Vinton. Plaintiffs seek confirmation of absolute fee simple title and assert plaintiffs and their grantors have possessed the lands openly for more than fifteen years.
Plaintiffs allege lawful title to described lands after fifteen years adverse possession. Defendants claim rights none. plaintiffs seek decree declaring sole ownership and barring any claims.
