In a December 20 1921 letter from Van Horne Iowa George H Bryant calls for boosting Vintons population to 7500 by building apartment housing for 2000 residents via 500 families with four each. He urges a foundry with a large shop, world wide distribution, and an interurban rail link to sustain year round employment. Also proposes garden lots south of town to support residents and attract newcomers.

Obituary for Mrs. Harriet A Narber of Cedar Rapids Iowa
Mrs Harriet A Narber died November 19 1921 from heart failure at 73 years old. A Benton County resident 33 years she lived at 1210 Fourth Ave B Cedar Rapids. Born October 4 1848 in Somersett Pa she married J J Fisher in Dixon Illinois 1865 and later Geo Narber in 1886. Survived by five Fisher children, one Narber child Clara Narber, four sisters and six brothers and Geo Narber predeceased. Active in Episcopal then Presbyterian church she was remembered as a capable businesswoman and respected citizen.
