Poland China swine breeders meet at Cedar Rapids 1878
A large gathering of Poland-China breeders convened in Cedar Rapids on January 22, 1878 to organize the America Poland China Record Association. Delegates from Iowa Illinois Indiana Ohio Kansas Wisconsin and Ohio joined officers elected to direct a stock company with capital stock and a record system to certify pure breeding stock and publish breeder records.
