Exclusion of Jetseta tape upheld by Iowa Supreme Court
Iowa Supreme Court upholds ruling that admitting Jetseta Gage interview video would violate James H. Bentley’s right to confront his accuser. Jetseta, 10, was sexually abused per charges tied to Bentley, who faces later federal sentences and awaits transfer for prison. The decision preserves the district ruling and prompts potential appeals. Distinct entities include Jetseta Gage, Trena Gage-Bakeoven, James H. Bentley, Linn and Benton counties, Vinton, Cedar Rapids.
