Diane Richards of Dubuque received a suspended sentence and probation after pleading guilty to embezzling funds from Local 180 of the Laundry and Dry Cleaning International Union. Judge Edward McManus ordered restitution of 1459 dollars. A second count was dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea.
Steven E. Meier of Dubuque received a three year sentence on a conspiracy to sell cocaine. He must serve eight consecutive weekends in county jail as probation. A charge of selling a half ounce of cocaine to an undercover agent was dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea.
