Descendant of Newton's tree gains campus marker
In Richland Washington a direct descendant of the Newton apple tree received a stone marker on the Washington State University Tri Cities campus. The grafted lineage traces to the Woolsthorpe tree that inspired gravity theory in 1666, though the original was blown down in 1814.
