Sequestration crisis not a real danger says columnist

In a Sunday column Mike Deupree argues the proposed 50 billion dollar deficit cuts under Gramm Rudman would trigger Sequestration but would not paralyze government. He notes 70 to 85 billion dollar contrasts and questions public willingness to fund wasteful programs. He also humorously critiques political rhetoric and comments on Gorbachev and Souter. The piece concludes with Iowa football banter and a note that Deupree’s column runs Sundays Mondays and Thursdays.
