Playtime Poppy Announces Children's Theater Season

The 18th annual Children's Theater season opens Oct 8 9 10 with Trudi and the Minstrel by Jefferson High School students directed by Robert Gueder. Season tickets $1.50, sold in Cedar Rapids Marion schools and Prairie. Eight performances per production at Coe College auditorium with four curtain times. Single tickets 75 cents at door.

Beethoven Program Scheduled Thursday

Beethoven Klub members meet Thursday at 10 at the YWCA with Miss Pratt speaking on 1797 to 1804. Debussy pieces and Copeland songs performed by named members, a Beethoven Sonata conclusion, and a 9:15 board meeting follow. Cedar Rapids Panhellenic Assn plans 8 pm Monday at Mrs. Blackstock’s home. Girls' Auxiliary luncheon is Thursday at 12:30 at Peoples Unitarian church.

Soroptimist Dinner Meeting Set At Roosevelt Hotel

The Soroptimist Club of Cedar Rapids and Marion will hold a dinner meeting Monday at 6 at the Roosevelt hotel. Program on Education of SORoptimism by Mrs Haskell Davenport. Prize and Trophy Banquet for Twin Pines Women’s Golf

Extension Service Art Tour Planned in Iowa

The Linn county extension service announces a See Iowa First art tour on October 14 guided by Grace B. Drenkhahn. The trip visits Ed and Clary Vinson art labs in Garrison and Stone City with a focus on Grant Wood landmarks including Riverside cemetery and Antioch School. Tickets are $6 and available at the Linn county extension office Cedar Rapids.
