Washington Home Baker Ordered To Halt District Sales
Mary Buxton a 69 year old home baker who sold to Larimer's Market was ordered to stop baking in living quarters after the Washington health department ruled against selling in the District She claimed she baked for Presidents Roosevelt Truman and Eisenhower and delivered to the White House The White House said it would study the matter and consider a small business loan to separate her kitchen from living quarters but Buxton preferred to move sales to Montgomery County unless she can continue district sales and regain Larimer's business
