The House Committee on un American Activities plans to recommend deportation action against German born composer Hanns Eisler as it nears the end of its inquiry. Chairman R Parnell Thomas says testimony conflicts with Eisler's immigration records and the case should go to the justice department.
Washington news service reports the Korean commission welcomed a Soviet proposal for joint withdrawal of American and Russian troops from Korea by January. Col. B C Limb, commission chairman, advocates a completely independent Korean government and warns to guard against subversive Communist forces seizing power amid eastern Europe tensions.
