Greek and Axis clash reported as evacuations unfold
London AP dispatch says Premier Emmanuel Toudern of the refugee Greek government claimed reports of clashes between Germans and Axis troops occupying Greece. He said 14 Italian divisions had been imported to fortify the south, praising some Italian troops as better disciplined than Germans. He spoke at a press conference noting Greek air forces and navies are operating with Britain in the Middle East and that no Greek navy or merchant fleet has fallen to the Axis.
