Willis Dady to expand Cedar Rapids shelter and offices
Willis Dady Homeless Services announced a 3 million fundraising campaign to add 15 000 square feet to its 31 000 square foot facility at 1247 Fourth Ave SE. The plan includes a renovation of the 30 year old building and four new very low income rental units as construction targets October ground breaking. Grounding the effort, executive director Phoebe Trepp noted strong Eastern Iowans support with tours and donations exceeding 2.5 million by September.
