Cedar Rapids casino license lone application filed
The Cedar Rapids Development Group LLC submitted the sole application for a new Iowa gaming license as the state reopens its process after a 2022 moratorium. The plan, Cedar Crossing Casino & Entertainment Center, totals 275 million dollars with 700 slot machines and 22 table games, plus dining and cultural facilities. The process includes a public site visit in Linn County and a Dec. 30 market study deadline, with a Feb. 6 vote on applications anticipated.
