Murder defendant rejects self representation in Iowa City trial
Curtis C. Jones 41 of Mount Pleasant facing first degree murder charges for the June 27 shooting of Ricky Lillie 46 in Iowa City. After discussions with Judge Chad Kepros Jones chose to continue with counsel though seeking hybrid rights. A Oct 6 hearing was set to consider motions to exclude a police interview and to move the trial out of Johnson County.
