Syracuse defeats No. 18 Louisville 38-35 in Louisville, ending the Cardinals 20 game home win streak and marking Syracuse first road conference win and first ranked opponent victory since 2004. Andrew Robinson throws for 423 yards and four TDs, Taj Smith 173 yards on four catches.
The Hawkeyes battled No. 9 Wisconsin to the final minutes but fell 17-13 at Camp Randall. Iowa lost key receivers and tight end Tony Moeaki early while P.J. Hill's 114 rushing yards and a late 2-yard TD run propelled Wisconsin to remain unbeaten.
In a tough Camp Randall clash the Hawkeyes, fielding red shirt freshmen receivers and a walk on kicker, lost 17-13 to ninth ranked Wisconsin. Iowa showed fierce defense and resilience but fatigue hit in the fourth as Wisconsin powered by P J Hill sealed the win.
Iowa State led 35-24 with 5:25 left but special teams miscues allowed Toledo to score on a kickoff return and a fumbled snap. Bret Culbertson’s 38-yard field goal attempt missed with 14 seconds remaining as the Cyclones fell 36-35 and dropped to 1-3.
