Career academies redefine area high school work
Cedar Rapids schools shift to career academies linked with Kirkwood Community College under a 28-E agreement. About 600 students are enrolled in six academies including Engineering Technology, Health Sciences and Local Area Network. The program offers dual credit, certificates, and potential job pathways with internships through The Workplace Learning Connection.
